Profil

Till Becker studierte zwischen 2001 und 2006 Wirtschaftsinformatik in Münster. Nach seinem Abschluss arbeitete er für zwei Jahre bei PricewaterhouseCoopers in Düsseldorf als Berater und IT-Prüfer. Von 2008 bis 2012 arbeitete er als Research Associate an der Jacobs University in Bremen. In 2010 ging er für einen dreimonatigen Forschungsaufenthalt an die ETH Zürich. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte waren Selbststeuerung in der Logistik, der Vergleich von industrieller Produktion und biologischen Stoffwechselprozessen sowie Robustheit in Produktionssystemen. Er beendete seine Promotion 2012 mit besonderer Auszeichnung und blieb ein weiteres Jahr als Postdoctoral Researcher an der Jacobs University. Seit März 2014 ist er Leiter der kooperativen Nachwuchsgruppe "Production Systems and Logistic Systems" des Fachbereichs Produktionstechnik und des BIBA an der Universität Bremen. Er ist Mitglied im Bremen Research Cluster for Dynamics in Logistics (LogDynamics) und Research Affiliate in der Internationalen Akademie für Produktionstechnik (CIRP). Die aktuelle Forschung der Gruppe untersucht die Wechselwirkungen zwischen der Struktur und der Dynamik komplexer Produktionsnetzwerke.
